n8n: new YouTube upload → drafts for every platform
An n8n workflow that watches your channel feed and drops ready-to-edit post drafts into a Google Sheet for each new video.
Tools
- n8n (affiliate)
- Google Sheets
Steps
- Create a workflow with an RSS Feed Trigger node pointed at https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=YOUR_CHANNEL_ID (poll every 30–60 minutes).
- Add an AI node (n8n's OpenAI/LLM chat model node or an HTTP Request to your AI provider) with the prompt below, passing title, link and description.
- Add a Google Sheets node: Append Row with columns Date, Title, Link, X post, LinkedIn post, Facebook post, Status=Draft.
- Activate the workflow and publish a test video (or unlisted→public) to check it fires once.
- Review drafts in the sheet and post manually, or add posting nodes later once you trust the output.
Prompt
From this new YouTube video's title, description and link, write: X: one post under 270 characters with the link. LinkedIn: 3 short paragraphs, professional tone, link at the end. Facebook: 2 sentences, friendly, link at the end. Use only information in the title and description. Return JSON with keys x, linkedin, facebook.
Replace anything in {BRACES} with your own details. Always review output before you post or send it.
